AmaWaterways stateroom configurations, focus on wellness and active touring sets them apart from competitors, I was excited to experience it. Here are the moments that stood out most.

1. My Twin Balcony – Two outdoor spaces in one stateroom, a full French balcony for fresh air and a step-out balcony for sitting and watching the river drift by, so you never miss the scenery

2. The Hosts – AmaWaterways bring a warm, personal touch, from the attentive crew who remember your name and preferences to the knowledgeable guides who make each port feel like a local welcomed you in

3. Outstanding Dining, Especially Chef’s Table – The dining was a highlight, with beautifully presented regional dishes, excellent wines poured generously at every meal, and the intimate Wine Room seating making dinner feel like a private tasting evening on the river.

The Chef’s Table was a standout, an intimate, multi-course dining experience with a menu crafted by the chef and paired with fine wines

4. Included Beverages – Wine and beer flowed freely at mealtimes at no extra cost, drinks outside of meals were added to your onboard account

5. Sun Deck – The Sun Deck was the perfect place to unwind, with a pool and a few games, plenty of loungers, and uninterrupted views of the river and passing villages

6. Bikes – Complimentary bicycles on board made it easy to explore each port at your own pace, with guided rides or independent adventures

7. Intimate Size – With only around 150 guests, the ship felt relaxed and personal, never crowded, and docked right in the heart of town

8. Excursions – Guided excursions were included in the fare at every port, with knowledgeable local guides and a choice of activity levels, so there was no need to pre-book or pay extra ashore

9. Wellness – The fitness room and massage services gave me an easy way to unwind between excursions

10. Accessibility – An elevator and wide public areas made getting around easy for all mobility levels
